Welcome to Wattle & Gum Eco Cabins. We're so glad you’re here! To make your stay enjoyable and safe, please take a moment to read through this fire safety guide.

Fire Pit Rules

We want you to enjoy a cozy outdoor experience, but safety comes first.

Please follow these rules:

Fire Restrictions: Check local fire bans before using the fire pit. https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/fdr-and-tobans
Never light a fire when there’s a total fire ban!

Fire Safety:

Keep the fire small and manageable. Firewood and Kindling is not provided, but can be purchased at all service stations in Jindabyne.
NEVER leave the fire unattended.
Use only dry wood and kindling (no plastic, treated wood, or rubbish).
Have a bucket of water nearby for emergencies.
Completely extinguish the fire before leaving. Pour water over the embers and stir until cold.

Fire Pit Waiver and Release of Liability

I / We acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the use of the fire pit at Wattle & Gum Eco Lodges at Peak View Farm, East Jindabyne:

1. Assumption of Risk – I understand that using the fire pit involves risks including burns, smoke inhalation, and fire hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with its use.

2. Safety Guidelines – I agree to abide by all provided safety instructions, including:

- Never leaving the fire unattended.

- Ensuring the fire is fully extinguished after use.

- Keeping flammable materials and furniture away from the fire.

- Supervising children and pets near the fire pit.

3. Liability Release – I release and discharge the owners of Wattle & Gum at Peak View Farm and their property managers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from my use of the fire pit.

4. Indemnification – I agree to indemnify and hold harmless owners of Wattle & Gum at Peak View Farm and their property managers from any legal claims or damages resulting from my or my guests’ use of the fire pit.

5. Compliance with Local Laws – I will follow all local fire safety regulations and understand that failure to comply may result in additional charges or removal from the property.
